OFDM COMMUNICATION WITH COOPERATIVE RELAY

OFDM COMMUNICATION WITH COOPERATIVE RELAY

Cooperative communications is a new paradigm shift for the fourth generation wireless
system that will guarantee high data rates to all users in the network, and we anticipate
that it will be the key technology aspect in the fifth generation wireless networks.
In terms of research ascendance, cooperative communications can be seen as related to research on relay channel and MIMO systems. Recently, cooperative diversity in wireless network has received great interest and is regarded as promising technique to mitigate multi-path fading, which results in a fluctuation in the amplitudes of the received signal. The cooperative communications is a new communication paradigm which generates independent path between the user and the base station by introducing a relay channel. OFDM technology has been widely used due to its spectral efficiency and inherent flexibility in allocating power and bit rate over distinct subcarriers which are orthogonal to each other.
